New Discounts Section

Hi.
We've added a new way of giving discounts.
It's based on either a percentage discount, or a fixed discount (per night) for guests who stay for a certain number of nights or more.
You can access it from the menu: Rooms/Rates/Vouchers -> New Discounts (or https://www.easy-bookings-ssl.co.uk/cp/admin/nightsdiscfixed.aspx)
New Discounts


  • To add a new discount, click the Add button, or click New on any line.

  • Enter the discount type:
    • Fixed: for a fixed discount 'per night' - if you enter 20 and 3 nights, the discount will be 20 x 3 = 60
    • Percentage: for a percentage discount

  • Enter the number of nights the customer has to book to qualify for the discount - the discount will apply, per night, for the number of nights entered, or more - so id you enter a discount for 3 nights, and a discount for 6 nights, the 3 night discount will apply for 3, 4 and 5 night bookings - and the 6 night discount, will apply for 6, 7, 8, 9 and more, nights bookings


  • You can add multiple discounts, for any date period, any days, and for any number of nights.

  • Please let us know if you have any problems.

    Housekeeping

    Hi.
     
    Currently, you are able to remove a customers details one at a time, from their booking screen - this is encouraged, as it means their personal and credit card details are not held on your system.
     
    We've now added a 'housekeeping' section, where you can now remove any customer information, and room booking information before a specified date. You can get to this from the menu Admin -> Housekeeping.
     
    PLEASE NOTE
    The system will ask you to confirm you want to proceed - if you do, the data held for customer bookings and room bookings for check-out dates of before the date you specified, will be removed permanently - and cannot be retrieved.

    Special Days Update

    Hi.
     
    Special Days will now be hilighted on your Overview screen in your control panel, as well as your customer bookings screen.

    Special Days

    Hi.
    Special Days are purely for aesthetic use on your customers calendar.  You can use them to hilight certain days, for example, Bank Holidays, or local holidays and events.  It will simply colour the background column of the calendar grid:
    You can access it from the Admin menu:
    ...and add in as many Special Days you like:
    Again, this was requested as a feature by our users - please let us know if you have any other ideas.

    Custom Column Headings

    Hi.
    Another new feature - Custom Column Headings - which you can access from the Admin screen, Custom Columns tab:


    With this, you can change the column headings shown on the customer booking screen, and the emails which are sent.  If you leave a field blank, the relative column will not be shown on the customer screen or emails.
    Again, I hope this is useful to some of you.

    User Defined Questions

    We've added a new section to the 'Admin' screen - a User Defined Questions section:

    You can use this to ask additional questions of your customers, while they are making their booking.  Anything which is specific to you, that is not currently captured.
    The information will be shown on the same screen as the customer booking information.
